The 6th Dap-Ay golf tournament, one of the much-awaited events in the fairway, is set April 22 to 24 at the Baguio Country Club.

The tournament will see BCC members partnering with guests for the three-day tournament at the tricky par-61 fairway.

The tournament proper will be on April 23 to 24, as the first day will be set as practice rounds, which starts as early as 5:30 a.m.

The ceremonial tee-off will be at 5 p.m. of April 22 followed by socials among BCC members and guests.

The amount of the registration fee and the scoring system to be adopted for the tournament were not immediately known.

The Dap-ay tournament ensures that rules are strictly followed in keeping with the unwritten policy that the game promotes the virtue of honesty and self-discipline. Organizers also make sure that the players and caddies observe other unwritten rules of golf etiquette.

Last year, the tandem of businessman Tolitz Villanueva and Edwin Ganga emerged as overall champions with 124 points.

The pair of Bong Mandapat Jr. and Franklin Eduardo had a combined score of 117 to emerge as champions in division one.

With a total score of 121 points, the pair of Jonathan Lacambra and Eun Young Seo topped division two while the team of Anton and Jose Carag won division three.

The contractors’ group was well represented by the tandem of Florante Bantales Jr., and Marty Manayos when they topped division four with 120 points.
