Members of a local golf team topped last weekend’s Creba Golf Tournament by clinching the overall champion and men’s A at Pinewoods Golf & Country Club.

Fairway Master (Famas) member Jobert Casignia fired an even par performance at the par-71 Pinewoods fairway for a net of 65 for the overall champion.

Local contractor, Jun de Leon, was eight over par-71 to go home with the lowest gross score award.

Famas member, Councilor Mike Lawana, fired a gross score of 87 for a net of 68 to win the men’s A. He also won the nearest to the pin special award.

Trailing Lawana was coach Chester Calpotura, who also fired a gross of 87 and a net of 70, edging Sammy Sab-it, who placed third.

Pines Kumpadres member Warren Dagupon fired an 88 gross for a net of 72 to rule the men’s B followed by mixed martial arts coach Criket Villareal who had a net of 73 and Francis Cuyop. Villareal also won the longest drive for driving 299 yards.

Famas member Kenneth Malikchan had a gross of 99 for a net 78 for the men’s C championship trophy followed by David dela Cruz with 108 and Alex Calputora with 109.

Chris Seraphin emerged as the ladies champion with net 71 followed by Charmaine Molintas with 74 and Epi Geston with 80.

Danilo Escares, meanwhile, won the most accurate special award.

No player was lucky to put a hole-in-one in two designated holes where the prices at stake are house and lot and a 20 percent discount for a condominium unit.

The Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Association have been holding annual golf tournament to raise funds for its various programs and projects, including reaching out to communities.
