Loman vs Brave champ for superbout anticipated
by Harley F. Palangchao

IGOROT MMA CHAMPION -- Brave Combat Federation bantamweight world champion Stephen Loman is being planned by the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion to face fellow Brave champion Bubba Jenkins of the United States in a superbout. -- Ofelia Empian

Brave Combat Federation has floated the possibility of a superbout between reigning world champions Stephen Loman of the Philippines and Bubba Jenkins of the United States.

In its recent social media post, the Bahrain-based mixed martial arts promotion wants to know the pulse of MMA fans around the world about the possibility of arranging a champion versus champion match in the nearest future.

The 23-year-old Loman of Team Lakay has successfully defended his bantamweight title for the third time, the longest in Brave history, when he defeated former champion and challenger Elias Boudegzdame by knockout in their title match last March.

The 31-year-old Jenkins, on the other hand, defeated Boudegzdame in September 2018 to capture the Brave featherweight world belt via unanimous decision.

This means that if the superbout between Loman and Jenkins pushes through, the Filipino fighter will face a fighter who is coming from a higher weight class.

It was not immediately known what title is in line if the two warriors collide in the future.

There is also a possibility that Loman will be gaining 10 pounds up if the superbout is for the Brave featherweight belt.

Jenkins has fought most of his MMA career with Bellator, one of the more famous MMA promotions in the world after the Ultimate Fighting Champion before he announced his entry in Brave with a masterful performance over Boudegzdame.

The American fighter now has 13 wins and four losses while the younger Loman has 12 wins and two losses.
