Lusnong, Daulayan tops Itogonia trail run

Trail runners Edu Lusnong and Michelle Daulayan were the fastest in the 42-kilometer category of the recently staged Itogonia Mountain Marathon 2019 on May 26.

Lusnong topped the 42-km male division within six hours, 25 minutes and 35 seconds leading all 36 participants who started the full marathon.

Angelo Cacal trailed him an hour later with 7:12:56 race time followed by Romell Mangonon with 7:51:15 time.

Daulayan topped the distaff side with a time of 9:44:35 followed by Edeliza Demot with 9:44:51 times and Annabelle Manabeng with 9:51:08 time.

The 32-km race saw Allison Tellias topping the male category with a time of 4:20:55 while Trina Concepcion ruled the women’s side with a time of 6:39:11.

Also top winners for the 16-km were Jhon Venn Dinangwatan with a time of 1:55:37 while Frances Gay de los Santos topped the female side with a time of 3:16:55.

Vinson Ramos ruled the eight-km race with a time of 0:41:12 while the female side was won by Erica Bulatao with  a time of 1:01:39. 

The three-km run saw young winners topping the race with 12-year-old Dash Ramos as the leader finishing the race in 21 minutes and 19 seconds in the male side while 13-year-old Daphne J. reached the finish line at 28:43.6 to win the female side.

For the 50 and above 42-km race, 55-year-old Jonel Mendoza ruled the event with a time of 10:11:44 time followed by 55-year-old Florentino Tizon with a time of 11:21:05.

Sixty-two year old Carmelita Maquinto topped the 32-km in the 50 and above female race with a time of 9:05:15 while 68-year-old Rogelio Espe topped the male side with 9:15:56 time.
