Winsome Princess Mary Superal of Dasmariñas, Cavite fired a bogey-free 61 on the last day to win the ICTSI Camp John Hay Ladies Championship held at the par 69 Camp John Hay fairway.

Superal was four down during the last day of the recent three-day tournament but eventually won by four over Chihiro Ikeda to win P200,000 and ended her 16-month title spell.

Superal carded four birdies at the front nine of the tricky CJH fairway to go one up over Ikeda then shot two more birdies at the back nine where she also holed a 12-foot eagle putt on the par-five 16th hole to seal the victory.

It was a second sweet victory for Superal at John Hay, where she also won in record fashion as an amateur way back in 2013.

“I’m very happy and it’s fulfilling to win again,” said Superal, who had a couple of failed title bids with runner-up finishes in the Ladies Philippine Golf Tour season.

Prior to the ICTSI CJH tourney, Superal, the former U.S. Girls’ Junior titlist, has spent the last two months campaigning in Japan LPGA Step Up Tour.

The ICTSI tournament serves as a challenge to emerging female junior golfers in the locality to improve more their golfing skills.

CJH Golf Club under Tim Allen did a great job in hosting this year’s ICTSI Tour that drew some of the best female professional golfers in the country and abroad.

Along with the par-61 Baguio Country Club, CJH co-hosts the annual Fil-Am Invitational Golf Tournament, the biggest amateur golf tournament in the Asia-Pacific region.
