Festival fun run in LT set March 10

Fitness enthusiasts will not only enjoy running but will also be treated with La Trinidad’s sumptuous breakfast during the staging of the Strawberry fun run and the “Duting tan dukto” on March 10.

The annual fun run backed by the municipal government features two and five-kilometer distances with gun starts at 6 a.m.

Both routes will start from the Municipal Hall, with the 2K run having a U-turn at the Commission on Audit area going back to the town hall. The 5K run will pass by COA office going to Cordillera Career and Development College then to Puguis rotunda, Puguis Elementary School at Pico Road making a full circle when runners end up at the Municipal Hall. After which, participants will have their filling breakfast at the municipal park by 7 a.m.

Tickets and registration form for the strawberry fun run and “duting tan dukto” is now available at the Assessor’s Office at the municipal hall.

Tickets are made available at P100 inclusive of certificate and breakfast featuring fresh strawberries, slices of eggs, camote and grilled pork and a cup of steaming hot coffee.

Other sports events to look forward to this March as part of the Strawberry Festival are badminton, darts, zumba, table tennis, indoor games and shoot fest.

Also included are boxing/mixed martial arts, arnis, and mountain biking.

Tourism Officer Valred Olsim said details for the community-led sports events would be posted soon.
