PO2 Pitpitunge unlucky in Brave: Jordan debut
by Harley F. Palangchao

UNLUCKY -- PO2 Crisanto Pitpitunge vowed to comeback strong after his unsuccessful debut with Brave Combat Federation 10 in Jordan recently. -- Harley Palangchao

PO2 Crisanto Pitpitunge was not lucky in his debut fight with Brave Combat Federation suffering a first round loss to a young veteran fighter in Jordan, recently.

Pitpitunge, the only active mixed martial artist from the Philippine National Police, was defeated by Jalal Al Daaja via triangle submission in the bantamweight bout of Brave CF 10: The Kingdom Rises.

Apparently, the fighting pride of Kapangan, Benguet suffered from jetlag, as he and Team Lakay coach Mark Sangiao travelled for almost 48 hours aside from hours of layovers between Manila and Jordan.

The fighter who defeated him is the same person who defeated Team Lakay fighter Jeremy Pacatiw last year.

Pitpitunge was the only Filipino MMA fighter booked for the Jordan event which will be headlined by Brave CF featherweight world champion Elias Boudegzdame and challenger Jakub Kowalewicz. The champion has successfully defended his title.

Pitpitunge last saw action in October 2017 where he scored a third round technical knockout of Ralf Francisco in the main event of Team Lakay Championships in Baguio.

At present, Pitpitunge, a former flyweight world champion with the Guam-based Pacific Xtreme Combat, has nine wins and six losses.
