Fun run, biking set in valley

A fun run and mountain trail biking is set in La Trinidad, Benguet this July to celebrate Police Community Relations Month.

The fun run is set on July 28, featuring 5-kilometer, 10K, and 21K.

The event is organized by the La Trinidad Municipal Police Station and local elite runner Louie Ganayan of Team Pinikpikan. 

Plaques will be given to top male and female finishers while the top two to five winners in the 5K and 10K runs will receive medals. All finisher’s will receive certificates.

For the 21K run, plaques will be given to the top three male and female finishers while all finisher’s will be given a medal and a certificate.

Registration is now open and will cover the event shirt, race bib, water, and before and after run snacks.

Interested participants may register until July 25.

The nationwide celebration of the 23rd PCR Month of the Philippine National Police has the theme, “Tapat na serbisyo at paglilingkod ng kapulisan kaagapay ang mamamayan, hatid ay kaunlaran.”

Meanwhile, the mountain trail biking fun ride is also set on July 5 also as part of the PCR Month celebration.

Race organizer and mountain trail biking enthusiast Councilor Guiller Galwan said the event will start at 8 a.m. at the town hall.

“This activity is also in support of our carless Thursday in the municipality of La Trinidad,” Galwan said.
