Later on, Villamor, Espiritu, and Gonzales teamed up to win gold in the team match play while the trio of Lingayo Mikaela Amongan, Halle Lineah Fesway, and Jinky Pudlao of Mountain Province won silver.

The trio Megan Shaira Corton, DJ Esnara, and JC Samantha Buyagan of Benguet settled for bronze.

Baguio Archers’ Team coaches John Hongitan and Andy Villamor said they allowed their players to compete with each other in the semi-finals and finals without too much coaching after the quarterfinals.

“We let them play their best game and we just correct some minor adjustments,” said Villamor.

Earlier, two delegations have tapped top archery coaches in a bid to break Baguio’s dominance in archery.

Baguio archers have proven their worth, as they have been winning in many national competitions in the past years.
