Golf‐for‐a‐cause set Oct 15 & 21
by Harley F. Palangchao

Local parbusters will be busy in the coming weeks, as two golf-for-a-cause activities are set at the Baguio Country Club on Oct. 15 and 21.

The Liga ng mga Barangay Baguio chapter will host the golf tournament at the BCC fairways on Oct. 15 in line with the Barangay Day celebrations in the city.

Tee-off time will be from 6 a.m. to noon with a registration fee of P1,000 for BCC members and P1,200 for guest.

Liga ng mga Barangay President Michael Lawana said the mode of play will be by System 36.

Aside from the trophies and raffles, special prizes of P50,000 each will be given to golfers who will hit hole-in-one at holes 10 and 18.

The following weekend, the Baguio Ladies Open Golf Association (BLOGA) will host another golf tournament that will raise funds for the BCC Caddies Welfare Fund.

System 36 will also be the tournament rule with Class A, B, and C categories for men’s and ladies division.

Tee-off time will be from 6:30 to 11 a.m. while the awarding rites will be at the FVR Hall at 4p.m. on the same date, Oct. 21.

The registration fee, which is inclusive of mulligan, is set at P1,200 for BCC members and P1,800 for non-members.

BLOGA is inviting parbusters to support the event, saying the bid to help the caddies relies primarily on the assistance and support of benefactors and sponsors.
