The father and son tandem of Carlos and Iñigo Anton of Castrol-Yokohoma topped the third round of 2017 Phoenix National Slalom Series in Cabanatuan City.

Using the Mark Young-Mohspeed prepared by Honda EF, Carlos took home the front wheel drive best time of the day at 42.42 seconds while Iñigo clinched the novice best time of the day at 43.62.

The duo likewise captured 10 first place wins in different divisions of the ongoing Slalom Series.

“I’m so amazed that my 12-year-old son Iñigo already scored his second overall novice division win and what was really impressive was that he was only 1.28 seconds off the fastest time of the day set by Milo Rivera (42.34 seconds) in his rear wheel drive starlet.  He also set the 4th fastest time overall in only his 3rd slalom race,” Anton said.

Earlier this year, the young Anton, after his series of victories in local and international racing, took home the prestigious Cadet Karter of the Year award from two reputable awarding bodies during the Golden Wheel and the Automobile Association Philippines.

With the wins, the father and son tandem now lead their respective championships in the series going into the 4th round to be held at the Tarlac Circuit Hill.

“I really enjoy slalom racing with my dad because he helps me a lot to get a faster time,” the young Anton said.

The Anton’s are backed by Castrol, Yokohama, Cars Unlimited, Mohspeed, Edgesport, Kilton, Kart Plaza, Special Stage, JSD Autosport, Ross Jackes, and Works Bell.
