BCJA holds free golf clinic at BCC May 25
by Harley F. Palangchao

A one-day event on introduction to golf and demonstration is set on May 25 with a hope to encourage young people to appreciate golf as sports.

Members of the Baguio Junior Golf Association (BJGA) will teach budding golfers who are six to 15 years old at the Baguio Country Club Golf Academy Driving Range.

BJGA announced the one-day event is free and it will also provide equipment and snacks for the convenience of the participants.

Participants who will compose the first batch are scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. while the second batch of participants is from 2 to 4 p.m.

BJGA announced there would also be a free demonstration by professional golfer John Agaya and BJGA alumni.

Among the active members of the BJGA are Elisha Chan, Paolo Wong, siblings Gabriel and Rafael Aoyong, Raj   Munsayac, and Jan Zeddrieck Dacawi.

Wong and Dacawi have powered their respective local teams in recent national and international competitions held in Baguio like the annual Fil-Am Open Golf Tournament and the Corporate Cup.

For inquiries, contact the BCC Recreations Office at 619-2050 local 6271 and look for Roanne Galicia.

BJGA expressed hope the event will help promote golf, which is one of the most-watched, and most sought after sporting events covered by local, national, and international media.
