Hundreds are expected to sign up for the 39th Basketball Efficient Scientific Training (BEST) Center in Baguio this summer.
Using scientific techniques, the camp is set from May 15 to 20 and from June 12 to 17 at the Easter College and Casiciaco Recoletos Seminary, respectively.
Registration fee is P4,000 for five to eight years old and P3,500 for nine years old and above.
The sports clinic, founded by former national basketball coach Nicanor “Nick” Jorge uses the ladderized program of Milo, which is set to bring out the best from young learners providing the basic standards for children.
Also, Milo Best Center enhances the skills of learners differently than the usual way of learning basketball while letting children develop their knowledge in basketball like no other.
The center offers courses including introduction to basketball for five to eight years old followed by four other learning levels of training namely basics in level 1 dribbling, level 2 defense, level 3 shooting or offense and level 4 advance basketball.
The Milo Summer Sports Clinic, the most widely participated sports clinic program in the country, is committed to discovering and developing future athletes.
The Milo Best Center also encourages school children ages seven to 16 to make the most of their summer vacation by learning sports and taking on new challenges.
Last year, more than 15,000 children participated in the clinics in over 800 venues nationwide conducted by top-level training from coaches and experts upholding 13 sports programs, including badminton, basketball, bowling, gymnastics, volleyball, karatedo, ice skating, tennis, taekwondo, table tennis, chess, football, and swimming.
