Right choice for political leadership
PERCIVAL B. ALIPIT, Baguio City

On May 13, people will troop to their designated precincts to cast their votes for national and local officials. Selection among political candidates is critical for they determine the destiny of the nation.

In the choice for political leadership, the aspirants who deserve to serve are those who exemplify integrity and decent life, demonstrate admired credibility and competence, capable and have recognized achievements in public welfare, could promote community solidarity, and uphold propriety and observe election campaign regulations.

Age and appearances are immaterial as long as the politician is physically and mentally fit and spiritually imbued to perform their tasks with confidence.

May the election be peaceful, orderly, clean, and yield credible returns.
