Words of wisdom for elected officials
PERCIVAL B. ALIPIT, Baguio City

The new set of elected officials started to govern and it is expected that they will fulfill their promises to make better changes in their respective communities.

Engaging in politics in our country is a sacrifice and is expensive. We hope that our elected officials will not do spurious practices to regain their campaign expenditures or enrich themselves. Spend within your compensation and live within your means. It is gratifying that blessings will pour on a work well done.

Remember that you were chosen to perform administrative, executive and legislative responsibilities with high degree of excellence, professionalism, and ethical standards, and for you to do your duties with utmost devotion and dedication.

Have the confidence and keep an innovative and active style of leadership. Consult people in decision making and listen to sensible advice.

Look at the present and into the future. Be determined to serve the interests and concerns of the public and in preserving the integrity of the environment that sustains our lives.
