IPs/ICCs land congress set Feb 23
LORENZO A. BELINO, La Trinidad, Benguet

Indigenous Cultural Communities/indigenous peoples (ICCs/IPs) in La Trinidad, Benguet, especially the ancestral land claimants since time immemorial and 30 years from the approval of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA) of 1997, are invited to attend the IPs/ICCs Land Congress through the initiative of the La Trinidad Indigenous Peoples Organization/Council of Elder Leaders. The venue is at Strawberry Valley Hotel, Km. 6 at Barangay Betag on Feb. 23. Registration for the whole day affair starts at 8 a.m.

It is high time to stand and exercise our rights. We have long been a long victim of social injustice, even being called informal settlers in our own land.

We have invited speakers to enlighten on issues and concerns that could guide us in perfecting our claims over our ancestral land.

Members and non-members of the La Trinidad Indigenous Peoples Organization are welcome to be part of this important activity.
