Easing traffic congestion in La Trinidad
PERCIVAL B. ALIPIT, Baguio City

La Trinidad is set to impose speed limits to prevent vehicular accidents, but when driving through the streets of the capital town, one could readily encounter traffic jams –vehicles could hardly move just the same and precious time is wasted to reach a destination and air pollution is terrible.

To ease the heavy traffic situation in the locality, it would be better to strictly enforce existing traffic regulations vividly placed on sign boards like loading and unloading zones, no parking, no left-right or U-turn, and no jaywalking, among other measures.

It takes implementation of rules and discipline on the part of drivers and the public to follow traffic directions to have smooth movement of vehicles and pedestrians and to avert untoward incidents to happen.
