WEEK'S MAIL
|
We welcome your letters and opinions. Kindly limit your letters to a page, preferably typewritten and doublespaced. However, for your letters to be considered for publication, it is essential that all letters must be SIGNED above your PRINTED NAME (you may request your name to be withheld or substituted with your pen name) and must include your ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER. Letters and emails deficient in any of the above requisites will not be entertained. Please be guided accordingly. Thank you. |

| It’s the CEO, not the DPWH |
| LEO C. BERNARDEZ JR., City Engineer, Baguio City |
|
In the Aug. 5 issue of your publication, the upper right portion of the front page shows a picture of the City Camp catch basin being cleared by a loader with the aid of some personnel. The picture’s caption partly reads: “Photo shows DPWH personnel manning the screen guard to ensure free outflow of rain water…”
Please be informed that it is not the DPWH personnel but the personnel of the City Engineering Office of the City Government of Baguio that is manning the clearing as shown in the picture. Ever since the construction of the catch basin, it has been our personnel and equipment that have regularly maintained its clearing.
Probably, there were lapses in the gathering of information by your reporters or in the printing of the picture’s caption. Whichever the reason is, we merely wish to inform you so that you may be guided in case of any related report in the future.
