Apayao is venue of PNP promotional exams

LUNA, Apayao – This province will host for the first time the Philippine National Police entrance and promotional examinations.

National Police Commission-Apayao Director Nathaniel Cayaba said that the Napolcom-CAR and the provincial government of Apayao have signed a memorandum of agreement for the conduct of the PNP entrance exam for civilians desiring to enter the police service and promotional examination for uniformed personnel of the PNP.

The exam is set Oct. 27 at the Apayao State College-Luna campus.

Applicants from Apayao and nearby provinces are invited to grab the opportunity.  Applicants should apply personally and bring their requirements at the San Isidro Barangay Hall in Luna from Sept. 16 to 20 only. There will be no online registration for these examinations.

An applicant for the PNP entrance exam must be a Filipino citizen, not less than 21 years old but not more than 30 years old and must be a bachelor’s degree holder.

Applicants should prepare two identical 1x1 ID pictures with white background and complete name tag, transcript of scholastic record and diploma, certified true copy of a birth certificate issued and authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority, a valid ID and examination fee of P400.

Those who pass the entrance exam will be eligible for appointment to rank of patrolman or patrolwoman as prescribed under Section 30 of Republic Act 6975, as amended by RA 8551, or the law that created the Philippine National Police.

Meanwhile, applicants for the promotional examination should prepare a certified true copy of the latest attested appointment, report of rating or certificate of eligibility, two recent identical 1x1 ID pictures with white background and complete name tag; PNP or any valid ID; and examination fee.

For police officer 4th class (police corporal to staff sergeant), exam fee is  P400; P450 for the police officer 3rd class (master sergeant to executive sergeant); P500 for police officer 2nd class (lieutenant to captain) and P600 for police officer 1st class (major to lieutenant).

Applicants for promotional and entrance exams should place their requirements in one legal size window envelope with P20 worth of mailing stamps.
