Search on for next Baguio, Benguet male role models
by Press release

The search is on for the Baguio and Benguet representatives to the Ginoong Pilipinas 2019 pageant, as the provincial franchise of the former Mr. Universe Tourism-Philippines is tentatively set on April 28 at the Benguet State University gymnasium.

Online registration is ongoing for eligible lads who want to follow the footsteps of Cordillerans Kelvin Aguilan Vicente and Keanu Fernando who seized two of the four coveted titles during the national inaugural edition of the contest last year.

Vicente took the Mr. Universe Tourism-Philippines title, while Fernando was hailed Man of the Year.

Interested applicants have until March 15 to register online. They may download and accomplish the registration form through the event’s Facebook page, Ginoong Pilipinas Baguio and Benguet 2019.

The applicants must at least be 5’7” (170.18 cm), single, and must be between 18 and 27 years old by Oct. 19.

They must have resided in Baguio or Benguet for at least three years prior to their participation in the competition.

The applicants must be of good moral character, which means they must not have been convicted of any crime; must not have engaged in any form of prostitution; must not have participated in any obscene or X-rated exhibitions/acts whether in print, stage, television, or movies/films; and must not have worked as a model, host, or any similar capacity in establishments generally reputed as “macho bars.”

They must also be familiar with their culture and heritage and must be aware of political and socio-economic concerns, among other issues.

Registration forms must be emailed to ggpilipinasbabe@gmail.com with one whole body and one half body photos, scanned copies of birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority, and proof of residency.

Provincial winners will be the official candidates to the Ginoong Pilipinas national pageant in October.

For details and/or concerns, the organizing committee may be reached through the official Facebook page or at 0929-406-0090.
