Media group gets P65K from run proceeds
by PIO release

The family of the late Dr. Charles M. Hamada turned over to the officers of the Baguio Correspondents and Broadcasters Club (BCBC) P65,000 representing the proceeds from the previously conducted run for-a-cause in memory of the late medical doctor-turned publisher last May 1.

Emmaflor Hamada, widow of the late doctor, turned over to the BCBC officers led by Jordan Tablac of Bombo Radyo proceeds of the run which was aimed at providing enthusiasts the opportunity to go back to running and help the organization generate resources for its projects.

Around 500 runners participated in the fun run, which consisted of 3-kilometer and 5 km categories.

Hamada expressed her gratitude to all the runners and the sponsors who pooled their resources for the successful conduct of the fun run with the hope that the same will be replicated in future activities in memory of her husband who served as one of the pillars of the local media in the early 1990s up to his demise.

In behalf of the BCBC, Tablac expressed the club’s gratitude to the Hamada family for making the group a primary beneficiary of the run.

Hamada was the general manager of the Baguio Midland Courier for over two decades until his death three years ago.

The Dr. Charles M. Hamada Memorial Run was conceptualized by the surviving members of his family to celebrate his birth anniversary every May 1.
