SM distributes 60,000 pairs of shoes in select public schools

As part of the celebration of #AweSM 60th anniversary “Change a life, shoe some love” project, SM North Luzon Malls and all other 71 SM malls distributed 60,000 pairs of shoes in selected public schools nationwide last Oct. 1.

For Baguio, SM City Baguio donated 1,000 pairs of shoes to students of Bakakeng Elementary School, San Carlos Heights ES, Irisan ES, Sto. Tomas ES, Piminggan ES, San Pascual ES, Taloy Norte ES, and Tabu ES.

For SM City Tarlac, 1,000 pairs of shoes were distributed in Asturias ES, Mapalacsiao ES, and Carangian ES.

In Pangasinan, 1,000 pairs of shoes were distributed in Cabalaoangan ES, Camangaan ES, Carmen ES, Guiling-Coliling ES, Palakipak ES, Pangaoan ES, Rabago ES, Rosales South Central School, San Bartolome ES, San Isidro ES, Sitio Baong ES, Tomana ES, and SPED Center.

SM City Urdaneta also donated 1,000 pairs of school shoes to students of Tabuyoc ES, Don Amadeo Perez Sr. Central School-East, Trinidad Perez ES, Don Amadeo Perez Sr. Central School-main, and Don Amadeo Perez Sr. Central School-West.

Another 1,000 pairs of shoes were given by SM City Cauayan with 25 volunteers from SCMC employees. School beneficiaries were Minante 2 ES in Cauayan City, Naguilian-Bacolud ES, Tubo ES, San Ignacio ES in Ilagan City, Isabela.

A total of 2,000 pairs of shoes were given by SM City Cabanatuan and SM Megacenter to Lazaro Francisco Integrated School, San Josef ES, ACA ES, and Sumacab ES.

Up north, SM City Tuguegarao, with 17 SCMC employees, joined the turnover of 200 sponsored pairs of shoes at Balzain ES.

Also, other SM Supermalls participated in the shoe distribution targeting 60,000 pairs of shoes for the school children nationwide.

The student beneficiaries received their shoes with so much joy as they also read the dedication cards the SM volunteers themselves have written for them. It was indeed a fun-filled and memorable Monday not only for SM North Luzon Malls but also for those whose hearts have been touched by this nationwide shoe drive.
