78 cops complete BISOC training
by Marcelo B. Lihgawon / PIA

LAGAWE, Ifugao – Seventy-eight police officers in the province successfully completed the 480-hour Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) held at Camp Col. Joaquin Dunuan here from Nov. 13, 2018 to April 2.

The Mabalasik Class 2019 received their certificates of completion in a closing ceremony attended by their families and police officials, with Police Regional Office-Cordillera Director B/Gen. Israel Ephraim Dickson as the guest speaker.

Dickson congratulated the trainees for completing the requirements of the course and enduring the rigid exercises.

“Consider this day as one of the most fulfilling days in your career as a police officer. All the struggles you experienced during the training have now turned into an armor of knowledge that protects you while rendering your service,” he said.

He reminded them that the knowledge that they had acquired is not sufficient but is just the foundation of the broader understanding. He encouraged them to take opportunities for learning that will make them better persons and law enforcers.

“As you go on with your career, there will be more open doors for development. Don’t waste any opportunity because you might not know when the next opportunity comes,” the police official added.

Most of the trainees will be deployed to the Provincial Mobile Force Company while the others will return to their respective units or municipal police stations.
