MOA signed on blood donation for PNP

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera signed a memorandum of agreement with theSLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart and Lorma Medical Center, Inc. for a hospital-based blood bank that would benefit personnel of the Philippine National Police and their dependents.

The MOA signing, held on Sept. 26 at Camp Major Bado Dangwa, La Trinidad, aims to strengthen and intensify the advocacy on voluntary blood donation to provide and allocate safe blood supply, sustain the adequacy, and ensure accessibility of blood supply. 

The signatories were B/Gen. Israel Ephraim T. Dickson, PRO-Cor director; Carmelyne Dickson, adviser of the PRO-Cor Officer Ladies Club; Ismael G. Caasi Lorma Medical Center Inc. representative; Corazon B. Aloo SLU Hospital of the Sacred Heart representative; the SLU Medical Director, Head of Laboratories and Chief Medical Technologist; Lt./Col. Geraldine Adanglao, medical officer of the PRO-Cor Regional Health Service; and Lt./Col. Davy Vicente Limmong, PRO-Cor Community Affairs Division. 

PRO-Cor was chosen as a partner of the two Department of Health-accredited blood banks because the PNP has always been a constant source of blood donors for public and private agencies.

Dickson encouraged the regular donation of blood, saying sharing blood means saving lives.
