P348,000 raised for MP patients

BONTOC, Mountain Province – The 5th Kataguan Caravan Drive for Life has raised P348,000 as of March 23.

The caravan, which started in 2015 is held annually in partnership with the Kataguan  Dialysis Patients Organization Inc.

The caravan was organized to raise funds for people with chronic kidney disease.

Kataguan currently has 157 members undergoing dialysis in various centers in the country.

The 5th Kataguan caravan started at the Eyeb grounds then passed through the major thoroughfares of Bontoc, Sabangan, Bauko, and Tadian then back to Bauko municipal grounds for the program and lunch.

Most participants are professionals, relatives of dialysis patients, government employees, hospital employees, business owners, and Filipinos  are now based abroad and spend time vacationing in their native province.

The organizers and the beneficiaries thanked the sponsors and donors for the success of the event.
