MP marks 15th Buntis Day

BONTOC, Mountain Province – The Philippine Obstetrical Gynecological Society Inc. (POGSI)-Mountain Province in cooperation with Bontoc General Hospital, Provincial Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), and the provincial government will be celebrating the 15th National Araw ng Buntis on March 9 with various lectures aimed at raising the awareness of women on laws protecting them and their kids.

The Buntis Day is open to all pregnant women from the different centers and hospitals of Mountain Province. Registration will start at 8 a.m.

The PDRRMO will give lectures on self-defense, disaster preparedness, and risk reduction for pregnant women in times of calamities.

Miguela Angwani, provincial social welfare officer IV, will orient the participants on family disaster preparedness, while Atty. Marianne Sumacbay, public attorney II, will discuss Violence Against Women and their Children Act. Dr. Nani Leah Wadingan will discuss maternal nutrition and Dr. Janice Paredes will talk on prenatal care.
