10 NGOs recipients of SSS gifts

Ten non-profit organizations that provide education and health assistance to orphans were the recipients of the annual Pamaskong Handog of Social Security System officials and employees.

A total of P800,000 from donations were given to the selected beneficiaries. 

The annual gift-giving activity held last Dec. 20 was led by SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel F. Dooc and Social Security Commission Chairman Amado D. Valdez, and Senior Vice President for Administration Group May Catherine Ciriaco.

The beneficiaries are Concordia Childrens’ Services Inc., Friendship Home Father Luis Amigo, Inc., Canossa-Tondo Children Foundation Inc., SOS Children’s Village, Simbayanan ni Maria Community Foundation Inc., SPECS Foundation Inc., Alouette Foundation of the Philippines, Inc., Bahay Tuluyan, Inc., Haligi ng Bata Inc., and Meritxell Children’s World Foundation Inc. Each charitable institutions received P80,000 each.

Representatives present during the turnover ceremony were Canossa-Tondo Children Foundation Inc. Director Bro. Allan Dizon, Meritxell Children’s World Foundation Inc. Social Worker Kristine Abel; Simbayanan ni Maria Community Foundation Inc. officials, namely board member Angie Ramos and Executive Director Sr. Marylyn Pañares; Bahay Tuluyan, Inc. Center Manager Lecyl Roja, SPECS Foundation Inc. Executive Director Sandra Canesa, SOS Children’s Village Donor Servicing Staff Eloisa Bacason, Concordia Children’s Services Inc. Executive Director Chrisler Go, and Haligi ng Bata Inc. Administrative and Finance Head Esmeralda Remollino.
