Fun run, fashion show set for pets

The Cordillera Animal Protection Advocates (CAPA) Inc. celebrates its first anniversary, today, Feb. 11 with various activities to promote responsible pet ownership.

CAPA president Cherrybeth Batuna said the activities include a run-for-a-cause, pet blessing, and amateur fashion show. These are sponsored by the city government to support the organization’s projects that promote animal welfare.

The fun run will have three categories. Assembly for the 10-kilometer category is 5 a.m. and gun fires at 5:30 a.m. Assembly time for the 5-km and 3-km categories, is 5:30 a.m. and gun fires at 6 a.m. at the Athletic Bowl.

Pet blessing and Amateur Fashion show will start at 9 a.m. at the Ibaloy Heritage Park, Burnham Park.

Owners and their pets joining the fun run will have free entry in the fashion show where their pets can have free grooming, deworming, consultation and anti-rabies vaccination sponsored by the Office of the City Veterinarian and assisted by Benguet State University Veterinary Medicine students.
