City Hall workers to clean Balili, CBD
by Julie G. Fianza / PIO

City Hall employees and local officials will devote their morning work sessions on the third and last Friday of September to cleaning the Balili River and the central business district, respectively.

Under administrative orders 117 and 118, s. 2018, signed by Mayor Mauricio Domogan last week, the clean up drive is part of the city’s celebration of the 118th Civil Service anniversary.

The Balili River clean up on Sept. 21 is anchored on AOs issued in 2010 and 2016, declaring a citywide and city market cleanup on Fridays.

Officials and employees will lead the massive cleanup drive as part of effective solid and wastewater management that officials and employees want the public to emulate.

On Sept. 28, City Hall officials and employees will have the community service day through a massive cleanup at the CBD.

The AO stated there is a need to complement efforts being done to preserve bodies of water in the city.
