Mayors orders list of road networks
by Press release

Mayor Mauricio Domogan last week ordered the inventory and inspection of local road networks for accounting purposes.

This is in compliance with Commission on Audit Circular 2-15-008 mandating all local government units to comply with the accounting and reporting of all infrastructure assets including local road networks construction and maintenance system.

“The circular covers the accounting guidelines for local road and road network system on initial recognition, subsequent measurement and derecognition to ensure that all roads are properly valued and recorded, and also the transitory provision for the transfer of the local roads accounts from the Registry of Public Infrastructures to the books of accounts of the city government of Baguio for the management of these roads,” the mayor explained.

The mayor said the city has a list of road network system which needs updating to comply with the circular.

In his Administrative Order 27, the mayor created an inventory committee to spearhead the project.

City Engineer Edgar Victorio Olpindo will chair the committee with City Accountant Antonio Tabin, City Planning and Development Officer Evelyn Cayat and City General Services Officer Eugene Buyucan as members.

The committee will undertake the inventory and inspection, reconciliation, assessment, accounting, and reporting procedures with corresponding maps.

The report should be submitted to the Office of the City Auditor and the City Accounting Office not later than Jan. 31 of each year.
