Mayor warns vs buying lot at Irisan
by Jessa Mardy P. Samidan / PIO

Mayor Benjamin Magalong warned the public against a modus by unscrupulous individuals collecting money in exchange for fake land deals at Purok 28, Barangay Irisan.

In a press conference last week, Magalong said a certain individual introducing himself as Joel Mayol from the pool of generals of the Philippine National Police has been fooling individuals mostly from the lowlands as far as Quezon and Bicol provinces, as well as uniformed personnel.

Magalong said barangay officials and the community have complained to him about the matter, which is why he ordered for an investigation on Mayol and his pastor associate.

Napakaraming hiningan ng pera at naloko itong pekeng heneral Joel Mayol na nagbebenta ng mga lupa sa Purok 28, Irisan,” Magalong said.

He said the lots sold are allegedly titled properties but Mayol and his associates present themselves as formidable force by victimizing uniformed personnel to be their protector.

Magalong said Mayol and his pastor associate are currently developing a big building within the barangay but are nowhere to be found.

“I have met him during the campaign and he cannot even give details as to his claim being a general so I am warning the public not to transact any business with this person and his associates,” Magalong said.

Magalong added that Mayol and his associates are reportedly also transacting properties in Loakan and in Philex, Tuba, Benguet.
