Three individuals, including one of those in the target list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, were arrested during anti-illegal drugs operations in Baguio last week.

The Baguio City Police Office also reported the arrest of six more individuals during the implementation of warrants of arrest for various criminal offenses.

BCPO Director, S/Supt. Ramil Saculles, reported that suspect Jerico John A. Tuazon, 23, who is in the target list of PDEA, was arrested together with his 26-year-old girlfriend at Dominican-Mirador Hill on Oct. 4 during a search warrant operation.

Composite police and anti-narcotics operatives led by C/Insps. Nicomedes Olarte III and Eddie Bagto confiscated three sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and other drug paraphernalia.

Two days earlier, BCPO operatives led by Olarte and C/Insp. Mario Evasco also arrested Martin B. Sanchez for allegedly selling a sachet of shabu to a Drug Enforcement Unit operative who posted as a poseur buyer inside a lodge at Magsaysay Ave.

Seized from the suspect were five plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the boodle money used in the buy-bust.

All three suspects were subjected to drug test while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act are being prepared for filing against them.

BCPO also reported the arrest of Eugene C. Bacani, 18, in San Fernando City, La Union for robbery with force upon things. The suspect is listed as number 9 top most wanted person (TMWP) in Baguio for the fourth quarter of 2018.

Three more individuals facing charges for violation of Violence against Women and Children Act were also arrested in three separate operations.

At Camp Dangwa, the Police Regional Office-Cordillera reported the arrest of 25 wanted persons, including those reported by BCPO, in a sustained campaign against individuals with standing warrants of arrest.

Among those arrested was Ver D. Wandagan, 18, who was arrested in Tabuk City, Kalinga for rape. He is listed as number five top most wanted persons in Tabuk.

Arrested in Tanudan, Kalinga for acts of lasciviousness was Marson G. Ducayag, 27, who is listed as number seven TMWP in the municipality.

The number five TMWP in Bucay, Abra, a 58-year-old farmer, was also arrested for incestuous rape with no bail recommended and rape by sexual assault with a recommended bail bond of P400,000.
