PNP urged to finish BCPO chief shortlist
by PIO release

Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan requested the Philippine National Police to submit the names of senior police officers who are eligible for appointment as the next director of the Baguio City Police Office.

Domogan said there should at least be five nominees but two withdrew.

He said the screening committee asked the nominees to submit some documents needed in their application, but one begged off as he was due for appointment as chief of staff of the Police Regional Office, while the other is awaiting his appointment in the general headquarters of the PNP in Camp Crame.

“We hope that the shortlist will be made available the soonest possible time,” Domogan said.

As soon as the shortlist is provided, the local screening committee will convene.

Included in the shortlist are Ifugao Provincial Police Office Officer-in-Charge S/Supt. David K. Peredo, S/Supt. Agustin Juan Tello, S/Supt. Giovani C. Maines, PRO-Cor Regional Intelligence Chief S/ Supt. Elmer Ragay, and former BCPO City Director S/Supt. George Daskeo.

Documents that should be submitted by the applicants to the local screening committee include their performance ratings for two successive semesters preceding their being included in the shortlist and a presentation of their overall programs for the BCPO.

Domogan said the recommendation of the local screening committee will be forwarded to the PRO-Cor for the issuance of appropriate designation.

The two-year tour of duty of BCPO City Director Ramil L. Saculles lapsed last Sept. 30.
