Alleged drug members nabbed
by BMC release

Two alleged drug personalities, a member of a drug group and a musician were arrested in separate buy bust operations by anti-narcotics agents in Baguio last week.

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Baguio first arrested Dominador Dagulo, 41, and Jesus dela Cruz, 34, both residents of Baguio when they sold 10 sealed sachets containing suspected shabu to an undercover agent at City Camp Alley in Baguio.

The seized contraband weighed 50 grams with a street value of P350,000.

PDEA-Cordillera Information Officer Frederick Calulut reported the seized contraband is the largest illegal drugs haul by PDEA in a single operation this year.

PDEA-Baguio agents also arrested a 24-year-old graduating college student, who is an alleged member of a local drug group during a buy bust along Longlong Road in Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet last week.

Calulut reported that Vincent Mark Malicdem was arrested when he sold a heat-sealed sachet containing a suspected shabu worth P10,000 to an undercover agent.

Malicdem yielded two more sachets containing suspected shabu while PDEA agents also seized the buy-bust money and a Toyota Altis vehicle used during the illegal drug trade.

PDEA agents and members of the Baguio City Police Office also arrested a 53-year-old musician who allegedly had been supplying shabu to entertainers in the city.

Suspect Larry N. Nazarro was arrested at Lower Magsaysay in Baguio when he sold a sachet containing suspected P20,000 worth of shabu to an undercover agent.

Calulut said Nazarro had been under the radar of PDEA for his alleged illegal trade.

The suspects will be charged for violation of Sec. 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
