Search for Ms Baguio 2017 starts

The search is on for the Ms. Baguio 2017.

Organizer Sonny T. Production-Lakambini ng Pilipinas Inc. has begun accepting applications from the 128 barangays in the city for the barangay leg of the pageant which is one of the highlights of the Baguio Day activities.

Candidates will undergo preliminary screening on July 17 to 21 at the ABC Office at City Hall while the final screening of candidates will be on July 27 to 28, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Office for City Administration.

Sonny T. Productions head Sonny David Ticwala said candidates must be residents of Baguio for one year, female at birth, single, never been married and did not bear a child, with minimum height of 5’4,” between 17 to 25 years old and should possess beauty, poise, personality, intelligence and good moral character.

Qualified candidates will join the following activities: Pictorials and video shoot from Aug. 3 to 5 at the Eros Goze Photography; briefing lecture and workshop on personality development on Aug. 6; radio tour and broadcast on Aug. 13; television guestings on Aug. 14 to 16; city tour on Aug. 20; beneficiary visit and barangay feeding program on Aug. 27; Baguio Day program and parade on Sept. 1; and lecture on Baguio City history on Sept. 2.

The pre-pageant talent search, swimsuit competition and interview will be on Sept. 1 to 3, 7 to 11 p.m. at the Baguio Convention Center.

Show proper (final judging and grand coronation night) will be on Sept. 17, 8 to 11 p.m. also at the Baguio Convention Center.

The top three winners will receive trophy, sash, gift certificates and gift packs, scholarship and cash. Ms. Baguio will get P50,000 while runners-up Ms. Tourism and Ms. Liga ng mga Barangay will receive P30,000 and P20,000, respectively. 

All qualified candidates will receive scholarship grant of the program of their choice sponsored by the Providence Polytechnic Institute: two-year diploma course in Hotel and Restaurant Resort Services under the Technical Education Skills Development Authority, licensed massage therapist under the Department of Health or Massage Therapy National Certificate II also under the Tesda.

The candidates will be entitled to a free pictorial and framed picture, jewelry by Ella Joy Soriano of O.N.E. Jewelry Art, gift incentives from corporate sponsors, plaques, swim wear and casual wear and other additional prizes.
