Would-be franchisors and aspiring entrepreneurs in the locality are being encouraged to be part of the two-day business conference organized by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Baguio-Benguet chapter.

The two-day event set June 13 to 14 marks the staging of the “Franchise Negosyo Para Baguio: Business Matching, Expo and Seminars,” a concurrent activity with the 28th North Luzon Area Business Conference.

With a package registration rate of P600, interested participants can attend the morning and afternoon seminars June 13.

Topic in the morning session is how to invest in the right franchise where participants will learn the basics of franchising; benefits and challenges; knowing the right franchise; how to spot a franchise scam; latest franchise activities; site selection and opportunities and business loan services.

Morning session will be from 9 a.m. to noon.

The afternoon session will deal on how one can franchise his business, which is set 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The Philippine Franchise Association (FPA) assured the participants they will learn from the seminars, which will help entrepreneurs, transform their businesses into franchises.

The two-day event will also feature an exhibit on a wide array of franchise investment opportunities in food, retail  and services.

“The main strength of franchising is that it has turned many individuals into entrepreneurs, even those who were not considered entrepreneurial. They can be retirees, former employees, fresh graduates, professionals, overseas Filipino workers, housewives and more. But through franchising, they have become their own bosses and have been able to open job opportunities in their communities. Franchising is the best way to be your own boss and we are bringing this across the country,” organizers said.

Interested participants may call at 0932-879-2732 or email at for more details about the seminar.
