Work permit fast lanes set up
by Aileen P. Refuerzo / PIO

The Public Employment Services Office (PESO) Baguio City has geared up for the expected influx of clients who will renew their working permits this year.

Public Employment Services Office (PESO) designate and Executive Assistant Jose Atanacio said they have set up express lanes for their clients expected to come in droves in the coming days.

Last year, the PESO issued a total of 26,000 new and renewed permits and this year it is expected to increase by a margin.

Applicants were reminded of the requirements, which consist of a properly filled-out Skills Registry System (SRS) form, work permit form and health certificate which can be secured at the City Health Services Office, latest cedula, police clearance and official receipt of working permit fee to be paid at the City Treasury Office one-stop shop.

For additional requirements, entertainers will be required to present birth certificate and valid identification cards; minors, with letter of consent and valid ID of parent or guardian; and professional employees, their professional tax receipt to be paid at the one-stop shop.

Upon completion of the requirements, applicants may proceed to the PESO lane for validation of the requirements and later for permit numbering, approval, scanning and release of their permits.

Atanacio said they process working permits on a year-round basis but the bulk of the applicants come from January to April.
