5th Negosyo Center in Kalinga opens
by PIA–Kalinga

PINUKPUK, Kalinga – The Department of Trade and Industry opened the fifth Negosyo Center in the province.

DTI-Cordillera Director Myrna P. Pablo, who led the opening, said the center is established for small entrepreneurs interested to open their enterprise in the locality.

Under the Negosyo Act, government promotes small businesses that would usher sources of income and employment in the grassroots to help push economic growth.

Interested applicants can visit the  center for them to be briefed on business application requirements, credit sources, and other related needs in business operation.

Mayor Irving Dasayon pledged full support to the project, which, he said, would help advance local economy.

Acting Gov. James Edduba sees the center as a catalyst of economic change with business creating opportunities for employment, income, and revenue for the government.

Together with the line agencies, the provincial government is bent on leading the province on the track to progress, which is the top agenda of the administration, he said.

The other Negosyo Centers are established at the DTI provincial office, Tabuk City Hall, Rizal, and Balbalan.
