SNAP helps host community schools cope w/ class opening
by Press release

Ten schools in Benguet, Ifugao, and Isabela received medical and school supplies from renewable energy solutions provider SN Aboitiz Power Group as they prepare for another school year in the time of Covid-19.

SNAP-Magat Assistant Vice President and Plant Manager Wilhelmino Ferrer and Plant Support Services Senior Manager Veronica Adsuara, distributed the aid package consisting of paper and ink supplies as well as alcohol, bleach, and face masks to six host schools on Aug. 22 and August 24.

The beneficiaries are Ambatali Elementary School, Villa Marcos ES, and Gen. Aguinaldo ES main and annex, all in Ramon, Isabela; and the main and annex branches of Sto. Domingo ES in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao.

On Aug. 27, SNAP-Benguet Plant Support Services Senior Manager Rose White and administration personnel Jerry Rio turned over alcohol, bleach, face masks, and back pack sprays to Ambuklao ES and the Ambuklao branch of Tublay School of Home Industries in Bokod, and Binga ES and Binga National High School in Itogon.

Ambuklao ES also received a portable hand-washing sink.

Strict precautionary measures as mandated by the government and SNAP’s company protocols were followed in all turnover activities.

The assistance is part of SNAP’s Covid-19 response to host communities, specifically in support of its host schools’ modular distance learning program to keep basic education accessible even with the Covid-19 crisis.

Set to start on Oct. 5, the program involves teachers handing over printed modules to parents or guardians of students on certain day(s) a week.

Modules usually contain different activities and performance tasks for students.
