Benguet studes told to avail of CHED financial aid program

Qualified Benguet students can now avail of the ongoing student financial assistance program of the Commission on Higher Education through the Office of the Rep. Ronald Cosalan for the school year 2018 to 2019.

Applicants are required to submit an accomplished application form available at congressman’s office at Km. 6, La Trinidad, Benguet near Al’s Restaurant.

For incoming freshmen, a certificate of good moral character from the last school attended is required along with their grades.

For senior high school grade 12 applicants, they must submit their grade 11 grades and first semester grades of grade 12 while senior high school graduates are required to bring their Grade 11 grades and Grade 12 Form 138.

For ongoing college students, they must submit their certificates of final grades for the latest semester attended and does not need to submit good moral character. 

Other applicants must submit Alternative Learning System Accreditation and Equivalency Test Passer Certificate or Philippine Educational Placement Test certificate of advancing to the next level with rating reflected in the report card.

Interested applicants must also submit any of the following: latest income tax return of parents or guardian if employed; while for those exempted from filing ITR, they must submit certificate of tax exemption, certificate of indigency from the barangay, case study from the Department of Social Welfare and Development or affidavit of no income; and for dependents of overseas Filipino workers and seafarers, they must submit latest copy of contract of proof of income.
Finally, applicants must submit one piece of 2 x 2 I.D. picture.

All applications must be submitted to the office of Rep. Cosalan.
