Experience the best OJT in Baguio City

A few months ago, I was searching for a firm for my on-the-job training until I reached Camp John Hay.

Before reaching the area, I saw the impressive trees and I experienced the cool breeze Baguio is known for. After years of staying in the city of pines, I experienced for the first time what Baguio is. Camp John Hay has a very relaxing ambiance. Aside from its excellent location, countless positive feedbacks also dragged me to have my OJT at the Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay.

I was accepted at the Forest Lodge, a four-star hotel. I believed working for the hotel could help me grow professionally. I was not disappointed.

During my OJT orientation, we were requested to give our best to support the hotel’s mission. Most of the services they provide are personalized and they make sure that all their clients would enjoy their stay at the hotel.

During my first day as an OJT, I was deployed at the Purchasing Office. I felt delighted, since this job is aligned with my course – Marketing Management. I have considered the Forest Lodge as my second home; my bosses are kind and willing to teach us the best they can. I really value their efforts and the support they have given us. As an OJT, I was tasked to do things similar to the job performed by supervisors. They don’t limit us to grow and learn new things. My supervisors always take me with them when they would purchase materials and other supplies needed in the hotel. They introduced me to their different suppliers and partners. It was a nice experience working in Purchasing and Supply Management.

I already finished my 300 practicum hours. It was very fast. I can still recall all experiences and happy moments I had with my co-trainees and my supervisor. I met new friends, learned exceptional skills, and experienced the best OJT in town and I thank Forest Lodge for letting me in.
